Salamandra gallaica Serra de Grandola larvae

Salamandra gallaica Serra de Grandola larva- Fire salamanders from Portugal Spain.

I was able to pick up  some larvae of S. salamandra gallaica prior to the ban.  I would not usually start with a salamander this small/young but with the ban- had little choice.  I am hoping that I don't kill them.

They are only an 1 1/2- 2 inches.

this is their very basic set up. 

Pigmentation is coming in at different rates

Axolotl aka Ambystoma mexicanum

Love them from this angle.  Copper girl.

Freckles- looking fine.

Pinky.  My boys are so wonderfully long.
