Leopard Gecko update

Well, Elliott's periodontal disease is better.  He is a few grams short of his all time weight but he is still coming in over 100gms.  Charlie is a consistent little bundle.  These guys are much easier to maintain as adults.  When they are growing they eat every day with an occasional skip.  As adults they will pass on food for 3-4 days at a time and then eat 4-6 super-worms at a time.

Leopard Geckos

My leopard geckos are my largest geckos currently.  Eventually, my leachianus will be the biggest.

Charlie and Elliott are so wonderfully inquisitive and calm.

101 grams of wonderful

he has the eclipse trait so his eyes are solid black

I love his white nose and face strip

97 grams of pow!

Charlie has regular eyes- I think I like them more than eclipse

Love his chunky heart shaped face

Elliott does not disappoint

Yahoo.  Wipppy.  Yeah.

I  never thought my Leopard geckos would get as big as they have.  After we broke 80 grams, and then 90 grams, I started to get excited for the idea of hitting triple digits.

Charlie, bless his heart, seems to be destined to being in the high 80-mid 90 range.  Poor boy just gets tired of eating and stops.

Elliott has an appetite and is longer than his buddy.  They came from the same breeder but are from different parents.    Elliott plateaued in weight for a few months but has steadily grown past Charlie.  I think Elliott still has some growing to do.

This week, Elliott did it!

Leopard gecko update

My boys are all grown up.  They are the most consistent geckos.  They are fun to interact with.  I love to watch them hunt.  Their colors are so impressive.  They may not be an amazing "morph" but they are exactly what I wanted.

Elliott is now at 88 grams:

Charlie is now at 87 grams.

Leopard gecko boys.

I have two leopard geckos.  Elliott and Charlie.  I love these guys and find that as they age they change a little.  Heads broader, spots developing, lightening of Elliotts "blaze".  They are such trusting animals.  I have had them since they were in their teens in grams.  They are so calm and trusting.  They come out when they hear me in their room to "check me out".

I made the mistake once of having them on the same bed.  I saw all these pictures of people having their geckos out together.  I thought 3 feet would be enough space.  Wronge...  Elliott moved so fast- ran across the bed and bit Charlie on the tail.  Never again.  I would have been crushed if Charlie lost his tail- he has a little scar.

Don't take them out together- it happens so fast.  As in all things- safety first.

Charlie always reminds me of a dragon.  It is his eyes.

My boy likes to explore.

I love how they taste everything.  They are so gentle.

Elliott- my man.
I think he could smell Charlie on my hand- had to put him up until I can wash Charlie's scent off.

Is that Charlie I taste?

Leopard Gecko update

I love how Elliott is getting a blaze down his nose.  Elliott is now 62 grams.  Charlief follow behind as usual at 54.  They both continue to grow- I think Elliott will have to slow down at some point.

Elliott becoming one with his mural in his terrarium.

I love the white blaze that my boy is getting.

62 grams and growing.

Elliott in part of his terraium- to the left is his moist hide with a cool hide on top.  I am going to remake them now that they are in larger terrariums.

Charlie- my bashful boy.

I love his "normal" eyes.  He makes me dream of dragons.

Leopard Gecko picture update

My boys are getting big.  Along with them growing- so are their enclosures.  They do seem happier with more space. I made caves for them for their smaller enclosures.  I will be remaking a cave system for their new enclosures.

This was when I got them.

55 gram Tangerine

65 grams- Eclipse- Look into my eyes.

I love their fatty tails.

Leopard Gecko venture

I decided to invest in some more interactive (aka- not in water) critters.

After much research I decided to get some geckos.  Bellow are my two new Leopard Geckos.  I am working on building back drops and hides to make their tanks amazing.  Pictures to come of the enclosures.

This little one is an Eclipse born from Eclipse is from Temper Eclipse female and Eclipse male.

And this one is a Tangerine from Tangerine parents.
