Axolotl update
The axolotls. I find the stress of the day melt away watching these guys. The fact that most of my pictures are from face on, due to the fact that they swim to me when they see me, love it.
and a little extra- the shrimp. I bought them so that they could clean the tanks and be substitute food for the axies. I can't bring to put them in with the axies cause I don't want them to be eaten. There are two kinds- you can see both in the picture below.

Snowflake Blanket
I finally finished my winter project. I took a few months off to heal from my carpal tunnel surgery. Hand works great now.
This blanket is in my top favorites. I improvised a border edging that makes me think of little snowflakes.

Danube Crested Newts are presenting their sexes
I have a colony of 5 Danube Crested Newts. I am now sure that two are male, one is female, and two are still deciding. They are great. They eat like pigs and are so very beautiful. My pictures aren't great but I will keep trying.
There is only one other type of newt that I am really wanting- Alpine newt (apuanus sub species).
Female in front with Male in back |
Female on right and Male on left |
These two are still deciding |
Male- crest is coming in and tail is getting the prettiest shade of blue |
